Mida Law Professional Corporation
Mida Law offers two ways to arrange a consultation: an urgent paid consultation (Route A) and a free consultation (Route B). Our office will review your request and contact you to confirm, suggest an alternative, or let you know if we are unable to assist.
Please note: on either route, what you submit is a request only. A consultation is not scheduled, and no time is guaranteed, until our office contacts you to confirm it. If the time you selected is not available, we will suggest an alternative.
Two items that help us review your request
For either route, please provide the following. Our office may follow up about anything missing before deciding whether, and how, to proceed.
1. Valid, current government-issued photo ID
A clear copy of a valid, current government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s licence, passport, Ontario Photo Card or permanent resident card (front and back of cards). You can use our secure ID upload page or email clear scans to admin@midalaw.ca. Please do not send a health card or a municipal ID card. Providing ID early helps us confirm who we are speaking with and can speed up our review. It does not make you a client, and it is not the formal identity verification that may be required later if we act for you.
Our secure upload page encrypts copies in your browser before they are sent. Copies are seen only by our office, and deleted within 7 days of a decision not to proceed (and in any case within 30 days if no decision is made). You can also email clear scans to admin@midalaw.ca; ordinary email does not have that browser-side encryption.
2. Opposing or related party names, if known
The names of the other people or organizations involved, for example a spouse, former partner or other party, so we can check for conflicts of interest before we proceed. Please provide the names of any opposing or related parties you know. Names only, please; do not describe your matter.
Free consultation: add the names to the Notes field in the scheduler form. Urgent paid consultation: include the names in your email.
A. Urgent Paid Consultation
This route is for people who need a paid legal consultation urgently. The fee is CAD $226, tax included, for a one hour consultation, payable by Interac e-transfer.
- Send your e-transfer of CAD $226 to admin@midalaw.ca. AutoDeposit is enabled, so no security question is needed. Type your full name in the e-transfer message or reference field.
- Email admin@midalaw.ca with your full name, phone number, the name(s) of any opposing or related parties if known, and a brief, general note about the reason for the urgent consultation. Do not include confidential details or documents. Please include your photo ID: use our secure ID upload page, or attach clear scans to your email to admin@midalaw.ca.
- Our office manually reviews your request and payment. If the request is accepted, we will confirm the appointment in writing within 1 business day. If we cannot accept your request, your e-transfer will be returned in full.
Payment does not by itself create an appointment. There is no automated booking and no automated confirmation on this route. A consultation time is scheduled only when our office confirms it to you in writing.
B. Free Consultation
Mida Law also offers a free consultation, requested through the online scheduler below. Choose an available time and tell us, in general terms, what you would like to discuss. There is no charge for this consultation.
How it works
- Choose an available time below and submit your request with your name, email, phone number and a brief, general note about the reason for the consultation. In the same note, please list the names of any opposing or related parties you know (names only). Please also provide your photo ID through our secure ID upload page or by emailing clear scans to admin@midalaw.ca.
- We review the request, including a check for scheduling and conflict-of-interest issues.
- Our office contacts you to confirm the consultation or to suggest another time. Only then is the consultation scheduled.

Eligibility and limitations
Consultations are intended for general legal matters in Ontario in the areas Mida Law serves. Submitting a request does not mean the firm can or will take on your matter; some requests may be declined, including where a conflict of interest exists or the matter falls outside the areas we practise. This form provides general scheduling only; it does not provide legal advice, and nothing on this page should be relied on as advice about your situation.
If your matter is urgent or involves a limitation period or court deadline, do not rely on the scheduler alone. Consider the urgent paid consultation route above, or contact us directly through the Contact page so we can respond appropriately.
Privacy and lawyer-client relationship. Submitting a consultation request does not create a lawyer-client relationship with Mida Law Professional Corporation, and no such relationship exists until it is confirmed in writing after a consultation. Please keep your note brief and general and do not include confidential details. Apart from your photo ID, please do not send documents with your request.
